The electromagnetic drive, normally fitted under the tray, provides impulses at a rate that causes the system to vibrate close to its natural frequency. The frequency depends upon the weights involved and the stiffness of the leaf springs. It is therefore possible to select the frequency within certain limits, according to the application.
As the tray vibrates, the orientation of the springs produces vertical vibration as well as the horizontal movement. The combination of the two causes the product to be propelled in the forward direction.
There are many options available with the tna roflo VM 3 conveyors, the main types are:
Vibratory Conveyor (transfer)
This conveyor is typically used to transfer product between two locations. It can also be used to decelerate product, control product levels and provide product accumulation.
The mini vibratory conveyor is used for shorter spans typically used in seasoning systems. It feeds product into the seasoning drum.
This is a special purpose feeder used to transport dry seasoning into the seasoning system. It is designed to provide a constant ‘curtain’ of seasoning, and includes features such as removable trays and specialised finishes that prevent seasoning sticking to metal.
Gateless Proportional Conveyor
This uniquely shaped conveyor allows the product to be centralised. The conveyor is combined with a ratio mechanism that allows for a specified proportion of product to be diverted sideways to a station (e.g. scale) while the remainder continues down the main line to downstream equipment.
The Cross Feeder accepts product from the main line and transfers it to the scale for weighing and packaging.
A gated conveyor is fitted with drop gates that provide an opening that, when used, allows product to drop down to a cross feeder (which subsequently feeds a scale).
