About the Role

We are looking for a hands on Branch Manager who will lead our Central Europe team and support the company’s global business objectives. This position is responsible for identifying new target markets, building and maintaining relationships with prospective and current clients to achieve sales revenue and growth. The position is based at our office in Wettringen, Germany, reporting to the General Manager tna Europe.

Key responsibilities

Your core responsibilities will be:

  1. Providing clear direction, leadership and management to the team (including remote staff), while working closely with staff to achieve and exceed financial targets, business growth and assisting in executing negotiations while delivering superior client outcomes.
  2. Ensuring Branch and Sales targets are met as per tna’s global Business Plan including leading technical service teams to ensure high levels of after-market customer support.
  3. Identifying and developing new business opportunities with new and current clients, in existing industries or new target markets that can be served by our equipment line.
  4. Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  5. Assess and review, on an ongoing basis, results of all sales activities and ensure appropriate action is taken to resolve unsatisfactory conditions

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

  • Qualifications in a business administration, sales, marketing, commerce or engineering disciplines.

Work Experience:

  • Must have previous sales management experience in capital machinery sales and preferably from a Food Packaging/Processing Industry
  • Significant sales management history in a senior capacity, with proven results of consistently driving the sales process from plan to close, ensuring outcomes are achieved
  • Staff Management and Leadership experience, with experience motivating and leading teams
  • Able to understand, interpret and analyse financial information
  • Able to deal with and resolve conflict and develop staff across multiple sites
  • Exposure to the manufacturing industry (specifically food or packaging) is advantageous

Skills & Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of current market trends and competitors
  • Sound knowledge of selling strategies is essential
  • A ‘people person’ with a strong sense of initiative and enthusiasm
  • Well organised and diligent, able to work calmly under pressure
  • Self-motivated and driven, able to work unsupervised and in a global atmosphere
  • Able to build strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Able to problem solve and make decisions in line with organisational philosophies and practices
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Ability to travel within Europe and beyond if required
  • Good level of English – written and spoken
