Job description

Our Projects department have a new opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team in Shanghai – China responsible for managing capital equipment installations to our clients in the food and beverage industry. This position is responsible for efficiently managing turn-key projects with a “hands on” approach to ensure on-time delivery, under budget expenses and customer satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities

  • Generate production line layouts ensuring system designs are configured to tna standards and client specifications
  • Establish & maintain project plans, and updating any changes to all involved in the project
  • Sourcing and pricing of non-standard equipment including follow up and communication to all parties
  • Flexible and adaptable to change when managing all installations
  • Liaise with Technical Support to ensure all phases of the installation are covered including layouts, contract amendments and changes to job specification, before the start date
  • Participate in industry trade shows and exhibitions
  • Extensive travel will be required

Desired Skills and Experience

This role would suit someone with project management or engineering experience in production, manufacturing, industrial or capital equipment environments.

Candidates will need to have the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (eg Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience
  • Packaging or processing production equipment experience is desirable
  • Ability to handle multiple time sensitive projects whilst working accurately and efficiently under pressure
  • Flexible and adaptable to change when managing installations
  • Advanced CAD and MS Project experience, Inventor or 3D software is desirable
  • Ability to write well structured, detailed documents and reports
  • Awareness of, and commitment to, the principles of a safe workplace
  • Clear and professional level of verbal and written English language skills
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally
  • Prepared to travel regularly, sometimes at short notice
