tna APPOINTS ALFREDO BLANCO AS VICE-PRESIDENT IN THE AMERICAS

Dallas, United States, 1 July, 2011: Food packaging solutions specialist tna has appointed Alfredo Blanco as vice president – americas. Blanco takes over control of operations in the region from Michael Green, who is returning to Sydney as managing director for the global tna group.

Blanco’s role within tna will be to lead and support the diverse, high performance tna team across the Americas with customers, offices and staff ranging from Canada to Chile. With the Americas representing a significant market for tna, he will be tasked with broadening the application base and penetration of pioneering tna packaging solutions including the tna roflo® VM 3 vibratory motion conveyor, on-machine seasoning system the tna intelli-flav® OMS 3 plus the company’s flagship VFFS bagger, the tna robag® 3c in key food industry sectors.

In joining tna, Blanco commented: “It really is a fantastic time to be joining tna. I’ve seen first-hand just what a customer-led business tna is. “Alfredo’s appointment is an important one for tna and comes at a critical time,” said Alf Taylor, founder of tna. “With a growing customer base in the Americas, an aggressive growth plan and with the Pack Expo show right around the corner, we needed a commercially astute engineering mind at the helm in the Americas and, with his experience, Alfredo fits the bill.”

Blanco will be based at tna’s US base in Dallas, Texas.
