tna APPOINTS ALFREDO BLANCO AS VICE-PRESIDENT IN THE AMERICAS
Dallas, United States, 1 July, 2011: Food packaging solutions specialist tna has appointed Alfredo Blanco as vice president – americas. Blanco takes over control of operations in the region from Michael Green, who is returning to Sydney as managing director for the global tna group.
Blanco’s role within tna will be to lead and support the diverse, high performance tna team across the Americas with customers, offices and staff ranging from Canada to Chile. With the Americas representing a significant market for tna, he will be tasked with broadening the application base and penetration of pioneering tna packaging solutions including the tna roflo® VM 3 vibratory motion conveyor, on-machine seasoning system the tna intelli-flav® OMS 3 plus the company’s flagship VFFS bagger, the tna robag® 3c in key food industry sectors.
An engineer by trade, Blanco has amassed 15 year’s experience in senior engineering and operations management roles, most recently with Gruma Corporation as vice-president of engineering and sustainability where he successfully installed 23 separate production lines within a 24-month period across Gruma’s 20-site business. Previously with PepsiCo Foods (Latin America Region), he led new plant start ups and managed infrastructure planning across five South American countries.
In joining tna, Blanco commented: “It really is a fantastic time to be joining tna. I’ve seen first-hand just what a customer-led business tna is. Blanco will be based at tna’s US base in Dallas, Texas.
