Leading packaging and processing solutions provider, tna, is boosting the support it provides to its Middle Eastern customers with the addition of Mohamed Hamed as regional sales manager. Thanks to a strong background in food packaging solutions in particular, Mohamed will bring a wealth of industry knowledge to the sales team. Customers across this vibrant and ever-changing region will benefit from his extensive experience and awareness of the key drivers in the Middle Eastern food manufacturing market.
Academically trained in electrical engineering, Mohamed graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Ain Shams University, in Cairo, Egypt in 2002. He started out as a maintenance manager at a leading drinks company. He was chosen as the Middle East’s best engineer – an honour which was accompanied by the prize of a trip to Antarctica, making Mohamed the first Egyptian to visit there. The fame generated by this trip sparked significant interest from the food industry, and Mohamed subsequently occupied sales roles at leading food packaging companies including SIG Combibloc and Sidel. Here, he successfully implemented effective sales models and strategies across the Middle East.
Mohamed will be based at tna’s Dubai office where he will be responsible for developing and implementing key projects to strengthen tna’s presence in the region, and to support new and existing customers with turnkey solutions for all their processing and packaging needs.
Commenting on his appointment, Mohamed said: “I’m very excited to be a part of the growing tna family. tna’s standards of customer service and innovation are renowned across the world. I’m now looking forward to utilising my experience in developing and cultivating strong relationships across the Middle East to bring even more of tna’s innovative total solutions to our partners and prospects throughout the region.”
Michael Green, managing director at tna added: “In the last few years, we have seen the Middle East food manufacturing market grow faster than any other, and it’s vital for us to improve and enhance our capabilities there. Mohamed’s vast industry experience will be a great asset to the team and we know he will play a key part in helping us deliver our 360-degree services and solutions to customers in the region. Welcome to tna, Mohammed!’
