About the Role
We are looking for a strategic and operationally focused Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead all aspects of the marketing function from brand awareness through to sales activation. The CMO will serve as a strategic business partner to the senior leadership team while overseeing all global marketing operations of the company and executing its marketing strategy and vision. The CMO will drive brand identity and awareness, corporate and product positioning and messaging, product marketing, field marketing, and lead generation.

This position will be based at Sydney Olympic Park – Australia and will report directly into the Chief Executive Officer, based in Sydney.

Key responsibilities
Your core responsibilities will be as follows:

Brand Development:

  • A brand cheerleader – someone who brings the brand vision to life and inspires both teammates and external stakeholders.
  • A proven brand builder who can define our product value and find unique ways to build an emotional connection with each of tna’s stakeholders.

Go To Market Strategies:

  • Develop methodology and tools to assist sales team to sell value and drive customer advocacy.
  • Work with CSO to develop sales training content and systems that highlights our offerings and helps customers with their challenges

Product Creation:

  • Research, develop and define specific product offerings designed to generate various components of revenue from targeted customer segments.
  • Create and manage a system to assess and install product enhancements and modifications in rapid –response to observed operating results.

Pricing Strategies and Execution:

  • Develop and manage tools and metrics to constantly measure effectiveness of capital pricing strategies.

Sales/Marketing Performance Strategies and Effectiveness:

  • Develop and implement a plan to generate the demand, traffic and awareness required to achieve revenue growth with data driven marketing strategies.
  • Develop and manage a set of tools and metrics to monitor specific performance of sales and marketing efforts against targets.

Functional Alignment:
Drive marketing and sales initiatives that exceed targets and company objectives.

  • Provide required data and analysis to necessary to support revenue generation.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree required and an advanced degree in marketing or business (MBA) is preferred.
  • Significant experience leading strategy/revenue generation with a demonstrated record of quantitative results.

Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of well-rounded B2B, VP of Marketing or Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) experience – with a focus on international market expansion.
  • Experience growing AUD$300M+ companies.
  • Experience in the capital equipment/industrial technology industry is preferred.
  • Experience driving innovative digital marketing strategies, automation and channels as per ongoing business requirements

Skills & Abilities:

  • Passionate customer advocacy with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams.
  • Must have a good balance of developing strategy and as well as executing operational plans into clear, specific objectives and tactics.
  • Must be a hands on leader as required.
  • Acts to surpass goals, seizing opportunities to push the envelope.
  • An ability to help build a culture that is action- and results-oriented and values quantitative analysis to assess situations and inform proactive responses.
