This position is primarily responsible for carrying out product trials, installations, commissioning, maintenance and ongoing service and support to clients, of tna manufactured equipment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  1. Manage Product Trials and complete installation & commissioning in accordance with the customer’s specifications and layout documentation, whilst meeting the timelines
  2. Provide routine maintenance and planned servicing of tna equipment in accordance with service agreements and schedules
  3. Provide training to customers (and co-workers) in relation to proper operation, preventative maintenance, and fault finding of tna equipment
  4. Provide first, second and third level support, in relation to breakdowns and/or customer queries, responding by either telephone or site visits, and within set timeframes.
  5. Escalate any issues early to the Aftermarket & Services Manager, for a timely resolution
  6. Communicate the benefits of Service Agreements to customers and assist the Sales Managers’ in formulating the Service Agreement as required
  7. Promote the value of tna’s original spare parts and upgrades to our customers
  8. Provide input and feedback to the Product Development Team, relating to product modifications, faults and development potential
  9. Attend to customers’ requests for technical assistance:
  10. Proactively visit key customers in your region and build strong professional relationships with your customers
  11. Reports on all service visits and technical issues each week by completing the required steps in D365
  12. Support and collaborate with the Aftermarket & Service Managers and Project Managers on all product trials and pre-installation works, ensuring layouts are correct and all documentation has been received
  13. Develop strong professional relationships with all customers and provide feedback to the Sales Team regarding prospective capital investment obtained through such relationships
  14. Document all equipment in storage and update it regularly. Together with the Manager, decide what needs to be discarded.
  15. Represent tna at trade fairs, exhibitions & networking events (including some weekends)
  16. Upwards of 80% travel, at short notice, both locally and overseas, including some weekends
  17. Be a team player, and assist your peers as and when required

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Qualifications

  • Qualifications in mechatronics, mechanical or electrical engineering, industrial electrical trade or other relevant field

Work Experience:

  • 5-6 years servicing experience with a focus on installation, repair and testing of electronic and mechanical equipment
  • Experience in a field engineering role, dealing with mechanical, electrical and software issues is considered highly
  • Exposure to the FMCG manufacturing industry (specifically food and packaging) is advantageous

Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of current market trends and competitors
  • Fully competent in industrial electronic & power theory and schematics
  • Industrial software programming Understands PLC / PC

  • Ensures a collaborative approach and is able to seek and listen to feedback
  • Self-motivated and driven, able to work unsupervised
  • Ability to seize opportunities to cross sell tna’s services

  • Bilingual with English language proficiency, written and verbal (if applicable)

Other:

  • Valid Driver’s License and own reliable vehicle
  • Valid passport with a minimum of 6 months until expiry
  • Upwards of 80% travel, at short notice, both locally and overseas, including some weekends
